Unity Health on Main announces it has achieved Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike designation by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the designation applies to their 505C North Main Street Greenville, SC location.
FQHC Look-Alike’s must serve an underserved area or population, offer a sliding fee scale, provide comprehensive services and have both an ongoing quality assurance program and a governing board of directors, according to HHS.

As an FQHC Look-Alike, Unity Health on Main is poised to further increase primary health accessibility to communities we serve and to patients regardless of their ability to pay.”
In 2017, Unity Health on Main opened its doors as a community-based health center specializing in pediatric and family centered care with a focus on medically underserved populations. Look-Alike status not only recognizes the success of the organization’s healthcare delivery model but will help increase its ability to address the healthcare needs of the most marginalized and vulnerable populations.
Unity Health on Main provides complete primary and preventative care to anyone, including those who are uninsured and patients with commercial insurance, Medicaid or Medicare. Services include primary care, behavioral health, chronic disease management, case management, referrals to specialists, laboratory services, FoodRx program, supportive services, and more.

Unity Health on Main is a not-for-profit community-based healthcare system founded in 2016 to address the lack of access to healthcare to the medically underserved, Unity Health on Main began serving the community August 1, 2017. We currently serve over 2,800 patients and have grown our business primarily through word of mouth from the families being served and our community partners. We quickly gained the trust and respect of the families as all our support staff are bilingual. Although many of the children are covered by Medicaid, more than 45% of the population served are uninsured.
