Bilingual Medical Assistant – Pediatrics (Full Time)

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing any front and back-office duties under the direction of the Pediatrician and/or Nurse Manager. Primarily the Medical Assistant will be responsible for documenting all of the patients’ medical history, obtaining vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting physicians during the examination.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual – English/Spanish is required.
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant with a qualified agency, or qualified to get certified within 90 days from date of hire.
- 2 to 3 years of experience
- Patient Triage Procedures Knowledge/Practice
- Must be comfortable giving shots to patients of any age
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Professional and Positive attitude and able to communicate with all levels of management and more importantly with our patients.
- Maintains cleanliness in patient rooms and clinical work areas
- Maintains stock of supplies, inventory and creates supply list requests.
- Oversee medical equipment checks.
- Maintain Vaccine Inventory/Vaccine Reports
- Performs other duties as assigned.
